MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA® 2010

Erica Jade Goldsmith is the 5’4” brown-eyed, 23 year-old daughter of David and Malinda Goldsmith of Mineral Wells.   She was a reporter for the WVU News, and was a member of the Student Government, and a participant in the American Cancer Society Date Auction.  She is also involved with Walk Your Paws, Colleges Against Cancer, and the Mountaineer Maniacs.  Erica plans on pursuing a career as an entertainment reporter.  She describes herself as spontaneous, creative, and vivacious.  Some of her hobbies include shopping, traveling, baking, and watching movies.  Erica is most proud of receiving the Promise Scholarship because it gave her the opportunity to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree debt-free.

The balance of the “Top 5” were:  First Runner-up, Ashley Hovermale of Berkeley Springs; Second Runner-up, Heather Hostutler of Bridgeport; Third Runner-up, Sara Hart of Dunbar; and Fourth Runner-up, Andrea Turner of McMechen.  The Semi-finalists were: Melanie Cook of Vienna; Samantha Shaffer of Wheeling; Cecilia Manzo of Fairmont; Tamika Roy of Clarksburg; and Victoria Frick of Montrose.

Heather Hostutler was named Miss Photogenic and Karen Flannagan was voted Miss Congeniality.

Crowned by Jessi Pierson, MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA 2009, Erica Goldsmith will represent West Virginia at the MISS USA Pageant, which will be held April 18, 2010 and broadcast live on NBC from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
