MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA® 2009
Jessi Pierson is the 5’7” brown-eyed, 21 year-old daughter of Brett & Kristi Pierson of Milton. She attended Marshall University and majored in Elementary Education. She is involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and has also volunteered for several charities throughout the state. Jessi is currently a substitute teacher for Cabell County Schools. She describes herself as congenial, compassionate, and a Christian. Some of her hobbies include fishing, charity work, archery, traveling, working out with friends and spending time with her loved ones. Jessi is most proud of graduating early from Marshall University with Magna Cum Laude honors.
The balance of the “Top 5” at the 2009 Miss West Virginia USA Pageant were: First Runner-up, Britanni Mills of Huntington; Second Runner-up, Whitney Veach of Petersburg; Third Runner-up, Lindsay Weaver of Buckhannon; and Fourth Runner-up, Christina Gayheart of Huntington. The Semi-finalists were: Erica Goldsmith of Mineral Wells; Christina Lankford of Morgantown; Talia Markham of Ripley; Sarah Hart of Dunbar; and Kristin Terry of Peterstown.
Jessi Pierson was also named Miss Photogenic and voted Miss Congeniality.
Crowned by Skylene Montgomery, MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA 2008, Jessi Pierson represented West Virginia at the 2009 MISS USA Pageant, which was held April 19, 2009 and broadcast live on NBC from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Jessie was a Top 10 semi-finalist and was named Miss Photogenic at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant.
